It only seems like yesterday that London last went to the polls to elect its new Mayor.

But politics doesn’t stand still for long and the process of selecting the Conservative candidate for the next mayoral election in 2020 is already underway.

The trio are London Assembly members Shaun Bailey and Andrew Boff, and Ealing councillor Joy Morrissey.

Conservative Party chairman Brandon Lewis congratulated those selected, stating: "These are strong candidates with positive visions for London."

Shaun Bailey worked as a special adviser to David Cameron. He is also an ex-youth worker. Bailey is currently vying to become the next Conservative candidate for the Mayor of London.
